Despite it being the second day of Raya, our Health DG came through with their daily updates press conference today as well. Based on KKM’s latest updates, Malaysia has recorded 172 new cases today (25 May), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 7,417. From those numbers, a total of 5,979 patients have been cured and discharged, including today’s 34 patients.

Fortunately, there were no deaths reported today maintaining the death count at 115.

Out of the 172 new cases, 112 cases are of foreigners detected while they were restrained in their holding depots. A new cluster has been detected based on a depot in Sepang involving foreigners.

While the 3-digit new figures may seem daunting, most of the numbers are from foreigners. So, as long we practise SOPs, we are able to keep the infection at bay.

These latest numbers should indicate that we learn to live with the new normal. Maintain extreme hygiene and social distancing at all times!

What do you think of the latest cases updates? Let us know in the comment section!
