Kedah Police Chief CP Dato’ Fisol Salleh has called upon Malaysians to join the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in their fight against Mat Rempits or illegal street racing and street thugs in a rather interesting way.

Speaking during a press conference yesterday (24 September), Fisol urged Malaysians to help snap photos of any motorcycles and even bicycles they see out there that have been modified not according to the allowed specifications.

Police will trace the owners of these motorcycles all the way to their homes

The Kedah Police Chief then told Malaysians, especially Kedah residents, to viral the photos on social media.

He asserted,

“If there are motorcycles that are modified not according to specs, or with special tyres, brakes removed, upgraded carburettor, snap photos and make them go viral.

“If you find these vehicles on the road, please snap photos and make them go viral. Afterwards, the police will trace them all the way to their homes.”

Fisol stressed that the police don’t want these dangerous modified motorcycles to pose a threat to road users, including the vehicle owners themselves.

Hence, the Kedah Police Chief vows that they will be seizing all of these illegally modified vehicles.
