JUST IN: Retail Businesses Allowed To Operate During MCO Starting 10 February
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced in a press conference today (9 February) that retail businesses will be allowed to operate during the Movement Control Order (MCO) starting tomorrow (10 February).
He said this includes clothing shops, shoe shops, accessory shops, fashion, photography shops, toy shops, cosmetic shops, and sports equipment shops.
However, several SOPs will be put in place to ensure that the rakyat still stays safe while these industries are in operation. Clothing stores will have to prepare gloves for their customers who want to buy products. Testing products will be strictly disallowed for cosmetic stores.
The full list of standard operating procedures (SOP) will be made available on the National Security Council (MKN) website soon.
