MKN: Restaurants In Clubs & Pubs No Longer Allowed To Operate During MCO
The National Security Council (MKN) has announced that night club and pub activities including the restaurants operating inside the premises are now not allowed to operate during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Previously, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Yaakob announced that all restaurants, food stalls, food trucks, roadside stalls and kiosks were allowed to re-open, including restaurants in pubs and nightclubs.
This set of standard operating procedures (SOP) was also listed on the MKN website.
Seeing that these establishments are only allowed to operate for takeaway, drive-thru, and delivery purposes, netizens were quick to ridicule this SOP as they wondered what exactly can be tapau-ed from pubs and nightclubs.
However, MKN has now clarified that clubs, pubs and the restaurants inside can no longer operate during the MCO.
MKN has yet to amend this particular set of SOPs at the time of writing but has made the announcements on their social media accounts.
