A man in New Delhi, India is said to have sexually assaulted his aunt. This indecent behaviour resulted in his murder, allegedly at the hands of his mother.
According to The Hindustan Times and Times of India, 35-year-old K Shyam Prasad was allegedly murdered by his own mother, who also dismembered his corpse into five parts before disposing them in the Nakalagandi canal in Cumbum village.
The body parts were packed into three different sacks.
Superintendent of Police, AR Damodar said that the 57-year-old mother allegedly took her son’s life with an axe on February 13 after she couldn’t bear her son’s “perverted behaviour” anymore, which caused her to resort to an extreme and horrifying measure.
The woman, Lakshmi Devi, was infuriated after finding out her son, who worked as a cleaner had attempted to rape his aunt and other family members. She was also said to have received help from a relative for her crime.
The Indian authorities are on the hunt for the mother who is currently on the run.
Lakshmi Devi has been charged with murder under BNS Sections 103(1) and 238. If found guilty, she will face the death penalty or imprisonment for life and be liable to a fine.
