If you read the title and the song played across your head, well, it’s the end of an era we guess.

Growing up without Astro meant watching ntv7 for shows like Spanar Jaya, Charmed, Survivor and Crayon Shin Chan and Doraemon on Saturdays. However, it seems like this is the end of our childhood channel as the Ministry of Education announced in a statement yesterday (15 February) that ntv7 will be replaced with DidikTV KPM.

Ntv7 Bakal Jadi Saluran Penonton Melayu

MOE added that DidikTV will start airing on 17 February 2021 and will be launched by the Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. The channel will air starting from 7am to 12am every day which is MOE’s maiden attempt at introducing a terrestrial Education TV.

“This channel is the MOE’s continuos efforts by increasing access to quality education for all students across the country.”

DidikTV KPM can be accessed through channels 107 at MYTV, channel 147 on Astro and ntv7 on TV UNIFI. For integrated Digital TV set users, you can search for DidikTV KPM through automatic tuning.

Didiktv Kpm

MOE reassured that the contents in DidikTV will be based on the standard practised curriculum. Besides the curriculum, the channel will also feature news on the education world, edutainment as well as content made by students. Appropriate international programs will also be featured on the channel.

Netizens on Twitter have bid adieu to the beloved channel which provided much interesting content during their childhood.
