Taking to TikTok, this netizen shared a shocking video of how huge waves are hitting the East Coast, especially Kuala Terengganu.
In the video, the netizen recorded huge waves hitting the route to Kuala Terengganu’s most famous landmark, its draw bridge, and the water that was spilling onto the road.
The user shared, “You can see how big the waves are. This Myvi was just hit with the waves.”
“I don’t worry about the cars too much, but this is dangerous for motorcyclists.”
MET Malaysia has issued a warning that big waves will occur on the East Coast based on its latest weather forecast.
According to MET Malaysia, “Members of the public residing near the coast line are advisied to stay clear of the area due to huge waves and increasing wind speed.”
“We expect wind speed to be between 25 km/h to 40 km/h. In comparison, wind speeds during the previous Monsun season in October was only between 10 km/h to 20 km/h.”
