On top of the raid that happened yesterday (17th May), the police conducted yet another search at former Prime Minister Najib’s condominium at Pavilion Residences.

Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Amar Singh, said that this was part of the 1MDB investigations, reported The Star.

Searches were also conducted at five other locations in Putrajaya linked to Najib, including the Prime Minister’s Office, his official residence and his three other residences.

Here’s what they found:

1. 284 boxes filled with designer handbags

These are all of Rosmah Mansor’s infamous Hermès and Louis Vuitton handbags that she proudly carried around when her husband, Najib Razak, was prime minister. Looks like she can’t do that anymore. But wow! 284???

2. 72 luggage bags

Contained in some of these luggage bags were reportedly Rosmah’s jewellery. Must have been a lot!

3. Jewellery

There was so much of it that the police could not even determine the value of the items. They must have had a hard time carrying the weight of all that jewellery!

4. Foreign and local cash

This includes Malaysian ringgit as well as various other currencies.

According to Straits Times, a police officer was seen emerging from the condominium with a money-counting machineHow much money did they find that they needed a money-counting machine?!

The amount of items that were seized were so abundant that five Black Maria lorries were needed to carry away all the seized items, reported Free Malaysia TodayThese are huge lorries by the way!

“We have seized the bags. We know they contain cash and jewellery. Exactly how much cash I will not be able to say or exactly how much jewellery, but the (amount) of jewellery is (a lot),” Amar Singh told reporters.

“Though we have finished searching these apartments, the operations will continue. Our team has been working tirelessly for two days investigating the case.”

“We will make an announcement soon on the details of the items confiscated once we go through them.”

He also said that the apartment was not owned by Najib, but a “Tan Sri”.

“It’s not proper for me to reveal the identity of the owner, but the search was conducted in relation to the 1MDB investigations being carried out by Bukit Aman CCID,” he said.

Amar Singh said the task force also seized documents connected to 1MDB from the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday (May 16), while police were still trying to open the safe at Najib’s Taman Duta residence.

When Najib had expressed that he, his family, and staff felt harassed by the police, Comm Amar replied, “Our motive is not to harass or disturb anyone, but this is a high-profile case and we are conducting a thorough investigation. If our search has to take a certain amount of time, it will take that amount of time. We are doing it as meticulously as we can.”

The police completed their operations just before 2am this morning (18th May).

Looks like Najib and Rosmah could be in trouble! The police have already taken so much, God knows what they’ll find once they break open the safe!
