A friendly smile and a helping hand from security personnel can completely turn someone’s day around, especially in a hospital setting where visitors are often stressed or anxious.

In a heartwarming post on Threads, user @aliffaim3n._ gave a special shoutout to a dedicated security guard at Hospital Kajang whose unwavering kindness and professionalism have left a lasting impression on visitors.

His kindness has remained consistent over the years

According to the post, the security guard, identified by a family member in the comments as Nagenthiran, is stationed near the ICU and Ward 1 area.

The Threads user recalled a touching memory from two years ago, when the security guard went out of his way to help lift his mother from her wheelchair into their car.

Returning to the hospital recently to visit an acquaintance, he said he was deeply moved to see that the security guard was still working there and had maintained the same warm attitude.

“Every time a car passes to exit the gate, he raises his hand to wave. He helps us adjust our cars when parking because space there is narrow and difficult,” the user wrote. “Whenever people ask him questions, he always smiles and answers politely.”

What impressed him even more was the security guard’s exceptional focus while on duty, noting that he rarely gets distracted while managing traffic flow at the guard post.

“He doesn’t even play on his phone at all! May he be blessed with good health and prosperity. Malaysia needs more good people like him,” the user added.

His dedication deserves to be recognised

The user also expressed hope that the management of Hospital Kajang will reward the security guard for his hard work, polite demeanor, and continuous care toward patients and visitors alike.

“He is truly kind. I was just discharged from the hospital last week. The moment he saw my son/daughter-in-law’s car, he quickly came over to help carry the bags and belongings into the car.”

“Two years ago, he was the person who helped my mom when she got discharged after being admitted for 12 days (moving from the ICU to a normal ward before finally going home). She was too weak to help herself and we were helpless. He quickly came and helped us carry her from the wheelchair into the car šŸ™”

“Most of the guards here at Kajang Hospital are really accommodating. Back when we were taking care of my late eldest sister and eldest brother-in-law, whenever we went up during visiting hours, the guards already recognised our faces.”
