Some people may look like celebrities or famous figures, but one of the state legislative assemblies (ADUN) of Barisan Nasional (BN) recently “confused” Hannah Yeoh with the former First Lady, Rosmah Mansor.

Just recently, on her Twitter account, Hannah uploaded a screenshot of a headline with the image of Datuk Suraya Yaacob, who is the ADUN of Sungai Tiang. At the first glance, Hannah was shocked by who Suraya looked like.

“I thought that was Rosmah and wondering what she was doing in Kedah.”

Her “thoughts” did not sit well with the head of Puteri UMNO, Zahida Zarik Khan, who later responded via a tweet and dubbed the matter “face shaming.”

Zahida did not expect such a statement from someone with a YB title, who is also the former vice president of Pakatan Harapan (PH). Despite the differences in ideologies, Zahida believes that it shouldn’t justify the insult from Hannah.

“Insulting fellow women is uncalled for and disgusting.”

“I’ve never face shamed Rosmah”

Just this morning (October 14), Hannah Yeoh responded to Zahida’s disappointment and clarified that she has never face-shamed Rosmah or anyone in her previous tweet.

“So what if someone looks like Rosmah, Najib or Zahida? I don’t get why UMNO is upset is someone looks like Rosmah.”

Refusing to prolong the matter, Hannah has since decided to retract her statement about “Rosmah’s lookalike”, despite not understanding the logic of the fellow UMNO politicians who claim that it is rude to say that someone looks like Rosmah.

Judging from Suraya’s picture, do you think she resembles the look of the former First Lady? Or do you think it’s uncalled for to say that Suraya is a lookalike of Rosmah?
