Haidilao is one of the most established and well-known hotpot chains in Malaysia which originally came from China. If MyVi is the King of the Road, we think Haidilao deserves the title to be the King of Hotpot!

A cinema chain in China recently brought hotpot to the theatre halls and this time, the famous hotpot chain is bringing something else to the restaurants. To the Malaysians in China, if you’re thinking about having a haircut and a good meal of hotpot on the same day, look no further than Haidilao in China. They’re offering hair wash services in the restaurant itself!

海底捞洗头

Haidilao is not only about noodle performances, hotpots, tea, and snacks anymore. You can save yourself the worry of getting your hair greasy after a hotpot meal!

The hair washing service was launched in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province’s outlet as early as August 2023. The staff revealed that 200 Haidilao coins can be exchanged for a shampoo coupon. The service hours are from 10am to 9:30pm every day, and on-site registration is required, according to a Weibo post.

Can the staff handle two jobs at once?

Serving customers with food and washing their hair at the same time is no easy feat but fret not!

Before the launch, the staff had been trained in hair washing services and so far, the responses from customers have been overwhelming.

As months progressed, this service was expanded to other Haidilao outlets in China. The “hair salon” in Haidilao is isolated in a different area with shampoo beds, dressing mirrors, and hair dryers, very much like the ambience in a hair salon!

As of now, there are no words on providing hair wash services in Haidilao Malaysia. To those Haidilao fans out there, what do you think of this “merge” of 2 different services?
