Back in school, when we got angry at our teachers, we would vent out to our parents. However, not everyone deals with frustration against teachers the same way because some of them choose extreme ways to express their dissatisfaction.

The Malay Mail reported that a homemade bomb was thrown into the discipline and counselling room by a bunch of students at SMK Penambang, Kelantan. Wah, why so extreme?

Further investigations revealed that the act was allegedly committed by three Form Three students who were frustrated with their discipline teacher. It was reported that 80 window panes in the discipline and counselling room were shattered after the bomb was thrown in at 11 am yesterday (19 July 2018). Oh dear!

A teacher who noticed the incident said that he was alarmed by the loud explosion, which was followed by a trail of smoke behind the school block.

“When it happened there were six teachers in the discipline and counselling room. Another teacher present said the explosion also resulted in damage to an air-conditioner,” said the teacher.

Moving further into the case, Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Ismail Mat Sidik said that plastic residues discovered at the crime spot were made from a modified ball-shaped firework.

He was quoted as saying,

“The incident occurred on the third floor of Block C. No injuries were reported, and we are still investigating further into the motives of the students.”

Unfortunately, the students have reportedly escaped after successfully bombing the room. As of now, the case is being investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage.

Using violence to deal with dissatisfaction is not recommended at all. Instead, we should talk to someone who could help us out with the negative feelings that we are dealing with. Don’t forget, violence is never the answer!
