The Foreign Ministry has issued a travel advisory for Malaysians in seven Middle Eastern countries in light of the latest developments in the region.
The ministry, also known as Wisma Putra, stated that non-essential travel to Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) should be postponed until the security situation stabilises.

It said that due to current developments, including the latest military attacks and heightened security measures in several areas of the region, airspace closures and flight disruptions have been reported in those countries.
“Malaysians in the affected countries are advised to be prepared for the possibility of sudden changes to flight schedules, airport closures, and travel restrictions. Alternative arrangements or contingency plans should be made immediately if necessary,” the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also urged Malaysians in Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE, particularly those in affected or nearby areas, to maintain a high level of vigilance, avoid military operation zones and public gatherings, and comply with instructions issued by local authorities.

Malaysians residing in affected areas urged to register and update contact details
All Malaysians residing in or currently present in the affected countries are urged to immediately register and update their contact details with the nearest Malaysian Embassy or Mission, or via the e-Consular platform, to facilitate assistance if needed.
The ministry remains committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of Malaysians abroad is always protected.
