We’ve got bad news, everyone. If you did not manage to try out the new Hokkaido Melon Sofuto that was just launched less than a week ago, then we’re sorry to tell you that FamilyMart has already run out of stock. And we still did not manage to try it yet! 🙁

Based on a recent Facebook post, the overwhelming response from the public who were eager to get their hands on the sweet treat has caused their supply to be finished more quickly than expected. An excerpt from the post reads,

“Your love for the Hokkaido Melon Sofuto has been overwhelming and has finished off our melon material for the month. Thanks to all of you. This means the Melon Sofuto will be temporarily unavailable but fear not, our team is hustling for the next batch to come in by month end.”

Phew, at least they will have the next batch of Hokkaido Melon Sofuto coming in soon! Don’t worry though because even though the Hokkaido Melon Sofuto is gone (for now), FamilyMart has informed that they will be bringing back the Cheesecake Sofuto this weekend to appease their loyal fans.

This announcement was met with both positive and negative reactions from Malaysians as some lamented that they had not gotten the chance to try the Hokkaido Melon Sofuto yet. Meanwhile, some of them were happy that they could once again enjoy their favourite Cheesecake Sofuto. On the other hand, there are still a few faithful people who missed the OG vanilla flavour and wanted it back as well.
