Goodbye, and farewell is never easy. If we have the option, we want to avoid it at all costs. Unfortunately, fate has written everything and no one escapes what has been written in the stars, regardless of how much you want to keep things the same.
In a viral and heartwarming TikTok post by @hm_imran_786, an employer in Singapore put in all the effort he had to throw a farewell party for one of the employees who had been working there for almost 30 years. The farewell party was not only held for a proper goodbye but also a dedication to all the employee’s hard work.
As what happens in most farewell events, the employee, Sona Mia got emotional, and his superiors, and his colleagues couldn’t hold their tears back too. This is how you can tell Sona and the entire team have formed a strong bond over his 27 years of life there, and no matter how much he didn’t want to part ways, it was time for Sona to return to Bangladesh and reunite with his family.
One of Sona’s bosses also shared a hug with him and cried together, while another man at the side reminisced about the good old times with Sona at the workplace and the times they worked together on tough projects, as well as his contributions to the company.
All other employees in the hall lent their ears to what the boss had to say, and all eyes were on Sona on that big, yet sad day.
Sona played a crucial role in installing raised floors and partitions in semiconductor projects during his 27-year tenure at the workplace.
For his farewell, Sona was given a gold chain and a bonus as a token of appreciation for his hard work and time at the company. You can watch the heartwarming clip below.
