Street vendors are abundant, with many of their food and drink items being ridiculously delicious. But, this also means that competition is high and many of them have to differentiate themselves from the others and stand out to attract customers.
So, what can a street vendor do to stand out from the rest?
The Kongsi_Manfakat TikTok page recently showcased a video of a street vendor beautifully belting out a Malaysian song, Balasan Janji Palsumu by Yamani Abdillah, as he cooked customers’ meals! This video is believed to be taken in either Malaysia or Indonesia.
They wrote, “Brother in the black shirt singing ‘Balasan Janji Palsumu‘ amazingly!”
Dinner and a show!
In the video, the vendor can be seen singing into a microphone that has been fixed to his stall so that he can sing without having to hold it. A speaker could also be seen behind him.
As he sings, he uses his hands to prepare his customers’ meals. Talk about multitasking!
What makes all of this so much for astonishing is the fact that his singing sounds absolutely incredible.
“Fuh, his voice is the most ‘rare’, while frying (the food) he is karaoke-ing by the roadside. He’s belting out like he doesn’t feel it. If admin tried to belt, a girl’s voice would come out,” Kongsi_Manfakat added.
Some have shared their belief that he could be lip-syncing, but we don’t think so!
