In case you missed it, the local popular ice cream chain, Inside Scoop had a crazy promo last Friday (November 17), with only 10 sen for a scoop of ice cream! The promo was done in conjunction with the brand’s 10th anniversary.

Long hours in long queues are definitely expected when it comes to huge promotions or free items, and Inside Scoop was no exception. In a viral TikTok post, a Malaysian girl, Catherine (pseudonym) shared the long queue that “took over” the Inside Scoop at 1 Utama shopping mall last Friday night. It was really TGIF for ice cream lovers!

In the clip, Catherine showed the long, massive queue that stretched over multiple shops in the mall, and it took her 1 full minute to walk from Inside Scoop until the end beginning of the queue, which was way, way back. Catherine had to increase the speed of her clip 4 times the original speed to show how long the queue really was in a short time.

The long wait was made slightly easier when the staff of Inside Scoop took the initiative to serve drinking water to the customers in line, and Catherine praised the workers for being attentive.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Catherine said it only took her less than 30 minutes in the queue before it was eventually her turn to purchase 2 scoops of ice cream, which only cost her 20 sen. She was among the lucky ones who didn’t need to spend hours in the queue.

“The long queue shown in my video was formed after I joined the queue, and it didn’t take long for the crowds to grow.”

Catherine also told WORLD OF BUZZ that the queue moved pretty quickly.

We’re sure that 1U shopping mall was not the only place taken over by the long queue for Inside Scoop’s 10 sen deal. Were you among the crowds who lined up for the promo?

If so, how long did you spend in the line, and did you manage to get your scoop?
