A viral video on Weibo showed a man in China being confronted by a woman on the train after allegedly ejaculating semen onto her leggings.

The man denied any wrongdoing, but the victim, who was visibly shaken during the confrontation, asked,

“Why was your zipper opened?”

“You took off your pants and did this to me!”

The Fluid Splashed By The Man

The confrontation drew attention from the crowds on the train, and another woman got involved to help the victim and record the incident. This prompted the man to push her phone away in an attempt to stop the recording, but to no avail.

The man then tried to hold the victim in his arms to console her, but was told by the latter not to touch her.

The woman who helped also took the opportunity to call authorities and assured the victim that she would go to the station with her. When the train reached the next stop, both women and the man disembarked, and the man was detained by the authorities.

The police in China released a statement

In an official statement posted on Weibo, the police in China said the incident took place on April 8 around 6:30 PM, and the man was brought to the police station where he was detained.

“A 41-year-old man surnamed Yao committed indecent acts against a female passenger in a train carriage on Metro Line 1.”

“He has been placed under administrative detention by the public security authorities.”

The Shanghai Metro Police stressed that they will not tolerate crimes against women, and encouraged passengers to report any illegal behavior immediately by calling 110 or approaching station officers directly.

In the latest statement today (April 11), the police responded to rumors that claimed both the victim and perpetrator knew each other, and that the matter was nothing but purely for content.

“The claims are baseless. They did not fabricate the matter to get engagement.”

“As of now, Yao is still being detained and the police is still investigating the matter.”

If you happen to encounter harassment on the train, immediately reach out to the auxiliary police who are deployed at all LRT stations.
