According to Apple Daily, one of the traffic cameras in Heze, Shandong, China caught footage of a couple having an argument on the highway before they both tragically got hit by an oncoming black car.

It was about 3.30am when the two had a go at it.

In the video, the couple can be seen approaching the barrier between the pedestrian walk and the road but one of them simply hops across the guardrail to cross the road. The other person follows suit and tries to catch up with the person in front.

The couple then starts fooling around on the road, without concern for the oncoming cars. In fact, they even chase each other from one side of the road to the other side. OMG, so dangerous!

Luckily, many of the cars driving past managed to swerve to avoid from crashing into the couple, who does not seem to realise the danger they are in. They stop chasing each other for a moment and share a long kiss before resuming their dangerous antics.

The couple shared another kiss on the other side of the road and that is precisely when tragedy struck. While all of the previous cars have managed to avoid them successfully, suddenly a black car who is caught unawares collides with the couple and sends them flying upon impact.

But the driver didn’t stop after the accident, he continued driving and was caught a little later after he crashed into a taxi nearby. He initially wanted to drive off again but the taxi driver quickly stepped out of the vehicle to stop him and made a police report.

The driver, identified as Mr. Zhang has been detained for drunk driving as his blood alcohol content is over the allowed limit. Unfortunately, the pair of lovers will be forever apart, as one of them passed away in the accident while another suffered heavy injuries.

I know they say love is blind, but do open your eyes to be aware of your surroundings!
