Malaysians have always been known to be helpful people.
And they’re also willing to get down and dirty while in their Baju Raya to do what is necessary to assist others!
An international student from China, Koko, took to her DouYin account to share her appreciation for Malaysians after the incredible effort they made to help lift her car out of a ditch in Melaka.
She wrote, “I’m really feel so touched. Families and who knows, I was helped by strangers in a foreign country.”
In her video, she explained how she and her friends (all girls) had gone to Melaka to visit their teacher for the first day of Hari Raya.
Though, when driving through a small village road, their car’s tire ended up in a ditch! Thankfully, every vehicle that passed by stopped to help, much to Koko’s appreciation.
“Something happened that left us feeling very, very touched. Which is, all of the Malay people who passed through the road, no matter if they were in cars or on motorcycles, everybody stopped (to help),”
“Not one person simply passed by us, they all stopped to help us solve our problem,” she said.
She went on to describe how the people present helped by controlling traffic and lifting her car out of the ditch, leaving all of them sweating profusely in their Baju Raya.
“I really love Malaysia, and this is the reason. I really do see Malaysia as my second home.”

We, too, are so thankful to be apart of such a kind and loving community as Malaysians. Selamat Hari Raya, everyone!
