Hari Raya is predominantly celebrated by our Muslim brothers and sisters. But, there is absolutely no rule that says that non-Muslims cannot join in for the festivities. Hence is why Malaysia is so beautiful, as our multicultural community makes our festive seasons so much livelier!

Here is an amazing example of this.

Netizen, @intan.ayunii, took to her TikTok page to showcase how her Chinese colleagues had travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Perak to celebrate Hari Raya with her and her family!

She wrote, “For their effort to come all the way, we’ll give them an A+. Selamat Hari Raya, gang!”

In her video, her colleagues could be seen arriving one by one to Intan’s family home in Perak.

Some of them even brought their families along to make the festivities merrier.

Throughout the day, Intan’s guests ate, mingled and laughed together with her and her family.

Even their children played together while the adults chit-chatted.

Raya 9

What a great way to build multiracial friendships among their kids and secure racial harmony for the future generation!

Malaysians, too, found their friendship refreshing and touching.

“I love seeing multiracial unity like this.”

Raya 4

“Alhamdulillah, congratulations. Such harmony is so valuable.”

We genuinely hope to see a lot more people celebrating their festive seasons with their multiracial friends!
