In the olden days, many cultures saw daughters as a burden and championed having sons in their families.

Thankfully, those days are long gone and daughters have become more cherished. Though, there are still people out there who wish to have at least one son.

A man in China is now going viral for giving his wife a flower bouquet, 10,000 yuan (RM6,516.21) in cash and he kneeled to her as after 13 years of marriage and 3 daughters later, she finally gave him a son.

莎莎夫妇 took to their Douyin account to showcase a series of videos on this.

They wrote, “The woman had been married for 13 years and had 3 daughters in a row, and finally gave birth to a son for the 4th pregnancy. Finally, the 4th child is blessed to be a son.”

In one of the videos showcased, the husband could be seen approaching his wife, who is in a wheelchair following the labour process, and kneeling to her in appreciation for giving him a son. She was already holding the flower bouquet that he had given her.

He then hugged his wife as she teared up.
