After many questions surrounding the fact as to how it is that our fellow neighbour, Indonesia, hasn’t reported any positive Covid-19 coronavirus cases, despite the fact that almost every South East Asian nation has reported cases of their own, the inevitable has finally happened. It has just been reported by New Straits Times that Indonesia has officially reported positive cases of Covid-19 coronavirus.
The announcement, made by President Joko Widodo, marks the first instances of the virus having infected native Indonesians, which live in the world’s fourth most populous country.
The two patients have been hospitalised, according to President Jokowi. It is unclear if there are any further cases of infected patients residing in Indonesia at this point time.
Well Malaysians, it looks like we have all the reason in the world to beef up our hygiene habits!
