For those of you who know individuals that have declared bankruptcy or have been blacklisted by financial institutions, but are eligible for financial assistance as prescribed by the government’s Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) scheme, take note!
According to Malay Mail, these individuals can now apply for financial assistance from BPN starting today (6th April 2020).
These applications can be made through the Inland Revenue Board (IRB)’s official portal at www.hasil.gov.my or the quick link https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/. The applications will be processed according to eligibility requirements.
“For approved applications, the BPN payments will be made in cash at Bank Simpanan Nasional,” said the IRB in a statement.
The IRB has also mentioned that this move was made in order to help those who really depend on it during these bleak times, and hope that the money that is given will be spent wisely.
So if you know anybody is eligible, please do make sure you inform them!
