Tourists throng Thailand’s capital throughout the year for its affordable shopping, tempting food and warm hospitality. One of the most famous areas to stay in is Pratunam where one can find fashionable apparels and delicious treats at almost every corner.
But now, there is another new place for you to explore in downtown Bangkok!
A colourful new night market is set to open on 1 December 2016. The brightly lit Talad Neon is backed by the same company that owns Platinum Mall.
Located conveniently next to The Palladium/Berkeley Hotel on Petchaburi Road between Soi 23 and 29, it is just a short 10 – 15 minutes walk from Platinum Mall.
Don’t feel like walking? Take advantage of the free Tuk Tuk service that will be provided from Platinum Mall at Gate 8 Zone 1 on 1st December 2016 up until January 2017.
The complimentary service will run from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, so anyone can drop by Talad Neon right after you have shopped at the mall.
Boasting 900 stalls and 200 parking spots, the night market will be styled similarly to the Artbox Market which uses shipping containers. There are also conventional market canopies and food trucks. Of course, as its name suggests, you can expect this place to be beautifully lit with neon lights!
Talad Neon has something for everyone; with shopping galore, restaurants, cafes and even drinking spots!
Fret not if you are not staying in Pratunam as you can take the train and stop at BTS Chitlom Station and MRT Makkasan Station. Talad Neon will only be 15-20 minutes walk away.
Official opening hours are from 4.00pm to 12.00am and is currently scheduled to open on Thursday to Sunday!
So the next time you’re in Bangkok, you know where to head to!
