A Malaysian politician has urged residents, especially those in Bandar Baru Bangi, to remain vigilant after several individuals allegedly broke into homes in the area.
The incident was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV), showing one of the unclothed suspects entering a premises and stealing clothes.


The suspects were identified as escaped detainees
Taking to Facebook, UMNO Supreme Council (MKT) member and Dusun Tua State Assemblyman Johan Abd Aziz shared that the incident was captured on CCTV at Bangi Golf Resort on 27 July.
“Based on the information received, the individuals are believed to have entered several homes and stolen clothing,” the post read.
Johan later revealed that the individuals were escaped detainees and urged residents in the area not to take matters into their own hands if they came across the suspects.
“I would like to remind all residents, especially those in Bandar Baru Bangi and the surrounding areas, to remain vigilant following the incident involving the escaped detainees. Members of the public are advised not to take matters into their own hands if they encounter or spot the suspects,” he added.


Johan also urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the police as soon as possible.
“If you have any information that could assist the investigation, please contact the police immediately by calling 999 or reporting it to the nearest police station.”
