A Form 1 student was reported missing after being dropped off at school in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where she was last seen wearing her school pinafore, white shoes, and carrying a white bag with a floral pattern.
The viral news of Gwen’s disappearance came to light after her aunt, Jaime Crystal, appealed to the public for help in gathering any leads or information on her niece’s whereabouts.

Missing 13-year-old girl in Sabah has been found safe
We previously reported that Gwen was last seen at Sekolah Menengah Lok Yuk Likas on Monday (27 July), shortly after being dropped off by her mother.
When her mother returned to pick her up later that day, however, Gwen was nowhere to be found. Searches around the school and enquiries with her friends also turned up no leads.
In an update shared with WORLD OF BUZZ, Jaime has since confirmed that Gwen has been found.
“We were at the police station and will still need to bring her to the hospital for a check-up,” she said.

Gwen’s family expresses gratitude for her safe return
Jaime later took to Facebook to announce that Gwen had been found yesterday (28 July) at around 3 PM, bringing a 33-hour search to an end.
She also shared that Gwen was “still confused” but is now safe.
“In less than an hour of sharing the news, Mia’s story went viral. The speed and reach of everyone’s help truly overwhelmed us. We want to thank everyone who played a part in the search, especially the general public. We apologise for not naming each of you personally, there are simply too many to mention. Your shares, prayers, and concern brought Mia back to us.
“This experience has shown us just how much kindness there is in people. Thank you for every prayer, every share, and every effort made on Mia’s behalf,” she wrote.
