The South Korean entertainment industry has been rocked with news of the deaths of stars such as Goo Hara and Sulli in recent months and now, another actor is reported to be dead. According to Koreaboo, Surprise U member and Fantagio actor Cha In Ha was reportedly found dead this afternoon (December 3rd).
However, details of where his body was found or the circumstances behind his death are still unclear as the police are still investigating. His agency, Fantagio, said that they are aware of the reports and are trying to verify the authenticity of this. They released a short statement saying, “We have heard the reports, and we are looking into them.”
It is still not known how 27-year-old Cha died and fans are in a frenzy at the loss of yet another Korean star. He is still relatively new in the industry as he debuted in 2017 in the movie You, Deep Inside of Me and was also part of the actor-boy band group Surprise U.
He was also cast in supporting roles in many dramas, including Temperature of Love, Wok of Love, Clean with Passion for Now, and The Banker. Cha is supposed to be part of MBC’s new drama, Love With Flaws and part of the cast includes Ahn Jae Hyun and Oh Yeon Seo. MBC’s production department said that they are aware and are trying to understand the situation.
Netizens were shocked by this news and many of them said that there have been too many deaths in the industry. They said that they hope there will be no more deaths reported as 2019 draws to an end.
