Scammers these days are becoming more creative as they not only play on the naivety of people but also take advantage of people’s sympathy.

One such horrid person who learnt to cheat people of their money and feelings is this auntie.

Evay Yih Woei snuck a picture of this lady and told the story of how she had tricked him.

On his Facebook, he wrote how the lady stopped his car when he got out from South City Plaza.

“She said she was in a rush and was chasing for a train to Ipoh.”

Being kind, Woei offered her a ride and said that he’ll drop her at the Serdang KTM station.

“On the way to KTM station, she kept asking me drop to her to Mid Valley or Bandar Tasik Selatan station (BTS) and she started her story about how she’s got no family, haven’t eaten a thing since morning, one leg is gone and so on.

“Before I dropped her at Serdang KTM, I pulled out all my (Ringgit) notes from my wallet and passed them to her out of sympathy.”

Evay explained that March 14, 2017, he saw the auntie once again but this time they were both on the LRT.

He shares that the lady wore the same clothes with the same bag, while telling the same story she told him to another person beside her.

“She didn’t notice me and I listened to all her bullshit again. Well, I wonder how many times she wants to travel to Ipoh?

Woei shares that he’s not upset about having been cheated out of RM10 plus, but more so at the audacity of this lady to manipulate people’s sympathy.

Woei could only end the last sentence with the middle finger.

Malaysian Auntie Scams People Using The Symathy Card, Netizens Outraged - World Of Buzz 2

Netizens were outraged from the ‘cheap’ tactic to con money out of kind people and expressed their disgust towards the lady and people like her.

However, it seems that MANY netizens also recognised this auntie as they shared how they were conned by her too.

One netizen even met her twice, just like Woei, but the auntie didn’t recognize him.

She used to travel back and forth between Rawang and god knows where. I helped her 2 times but she didn’t recognise me at all. She told me that she has a mother with kidney cancer and stuff.

It’s unfortunate that these cheaters are giving humanity a bad name, causing more and more people to become more wary before helping a stranger.
