AirAsia is allowing customers who have booked flights to or from any destination in China to change travel their dates at no additional cost, subject to the amount of seat availability. This is one of AirAsia’s efforts to help control the spread of the Wuhan Coronavirus and to comply with the instructions of the China Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC).

The company made the official announcement on their official website and includes giving passengers several options to make their changes. AirAsia customers who wish to make changes to their flight plans to or from Wuhan and other cities in China may pick to either (1) one-time flight change to a new flight date on the same route within 30 days of the flight date origin; or (2) retain their fares in their AirAsia BIG loyalty account for future travel with AirAsia, or (3) obtain a full refund to the original payment method for the same amount as their booking.

However, for bookings made through travel agents, including online travel agents, refund requests will be made through their travel agents. Meanwhile, AirAsia also advised its passengers in Wuhan to comply with announcements made by health and government authorities and to contact their diplomatic or embassy officials in China for assistance.
