A few days ago, Jho Low’s luxury yacht, Equanimity reached the waters of Malaysia, returning to its rightful owners, the rakyat. Now the government will be working to bring home the private jet owned by the controversial business man.
As quoted by The Star, Tun Mahathir said,
“Yes, I think so. We have to bring it back.”
The private jet is now in Singapore, impounded by the authorities back in 2017 and grounded in Seletar Airport.
When asked about the details of the bringing back the private to Malaysia, Tun Mahathir simply answered, “I don’t know, somebody else is doing it.” He then elaborate that the government is trying its best to get back all the money stolen from Malaysia.
According to Business Jet Traveler, Jho Low’s private jet, the Bombardier Global 5000 has a retail price of more than RM200 million. Mahal gile!
The Department of Justice (DOJ) reported that both the private jet and the luxury yacht were purchased using funds from 1MDB.
When asked about Jho Low’s statement saying that Malaysia was ‘putting words into the mouth of US authorities’, Tun Mahathir sarcastically told The Star that he is really proud to be able to do that.
“I must be greater than Donald Trump. You can ask the US authorities whether I put words into their mouths, whether I typed out the words and shoved it down their throat,” he added.
