For many of us who have left secondary school and managed to avoid being enlisted into the National Service Training Program (PLKN), it appears that it might be coming back to haunt us!

The Ministry of Defence have shared that PLKN 3.0 will involve secondary school student, university students as well as young adults!

Taking to the oral question and answers (Q&A) session at Dewan Rakyat yesterday (March 25), the Deputy Minister of Defence, Adly Zahari shared this while explaining that his party is finalising the engagement, co-curriculum and other training modules of PLKN 3.0.

“Sometimes when we take a look, there are students who do not enroll in universities, we classify them as among the youth who can be involved in PLKN. I think that, once we’ve finalised things later, this exercise will not only involve secondary school students, it will also involve students who are entering university and those who do not.”

“If we look into it, we have a period of time and an age limit to ensure that we can implement this program as best as we can,” he said.

This comes after Ketereh MP Datuk Khlir Mohd Nor asked the Deputy Minister in regards to PLKN taking in young adults instead of secondary school students.

According to a report by Kosmo, PLKN 3.0 is set to be initiated in 2025.
