Not everyone can afford an iPhone but of course, who could resist a smartphone at an affordable price? It’s undeniably a luxury to many of us but if there’s anyone selling a used iPhone at a much cheaper price, chances are we might just check it out.

Just recently, a Malaysian man, Mohd Sabbri announced in a Facebook group, Malaysia iPhone Users about an iPhone 14 Pro that he just bought. He was not enquiring about the navigation of the phone but Sabbri wanted to look for the real owner of the phone.

He believed he has purchased a stolen iPhone 14 Pro, and now he’s trying to look for the poor owner of the device.

Here’s how Sabbri figured it out. In his post, he said that he was approached by a man who offered him the device at only RM500! Not even a 2nd hand iPhone is sold THAT cheap. The smart man figured the phone may have been obtained in an “unorthodox” manner, so he decided to purchase it before anyone irresponsible got their hands on the device.

“In case anyone here has recently lost their phone, DM me the details of your phone. I’m in KL area.”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Sabbri, who sells used clothing said that he was approached by the man just around his store in Chow Kit. According to him, it’s not uncommon to be approached by random men who claimed to be selling cheap phones.

“It’s normal here. They’ll convince you to buy by saying it’s an emergency.”

Since he purchased the phone, Sabbri immediately turned on the phone but is still unable to log into the device because it has been locked. It can only be unlocked by the owner of the phone who knows the passcode, or only his own fingerprints can access the phone. Sabbri also told WORLD OF BUZZ that he sincerely wants to look for the owner.

“I hope the person sees this and reaches out to me soon. Don’t worry about the RM500, I don’t care about it. Only the people who have lost their phone understand what it feels like.”

Bless Sabbri’s kind soul for his effort and patience in waiting for the rightful owner of the lost device. Dear readers, in case you’re one the owner of the phone, do reach out to the kind man!
