We’ve seen all kinds of crazy things on Malaysian roads, from a cow cart to a motorcyclist dancing while riding his motorbike, people will never cease to amaze and bewilder us.

Here’s another instance of this.

The Kuantan City Council took to their Facebook page to showcase someone who had built a shaded shed to park their van. Doesn’t seem like anything out of the ordinary, right?

Well, the person had built the shed in the middle of a road in a housing area.

They wrote, “Shed in the middle of the road. Weird but true. Another unusual case. This shed has been placed in the middle of the road for parking purposes. This incident took place in Seri Mahkota (Kuantan). A notice of order for removal has been issued. For failure to comply with the notice, enforcement action will be taken.”

In the pictures showcased, a van can be seen parked inside the shed that was built in the middle of the road, surrounded by traffic cones.

While some are in awe of the person’s audacity, others condemned them for causing inconvenience to the residents in the area as well as their selfishness.

Shed 5

“Can bring this into the Malaysian Book of Records, first vehicle shed in the middle of the road.”

Shed 4

“This is the kind of people who prioritise themselves and endanger road users. For no reason people have to use the oncoming lane. Congratulations MBK. Now they know the country has laws.”

Shed 6

“There’s no need to summon, just immediately tow (the van) and demolish the shed. Gives strict warnings to others who will do or have the same intentions.”

Now that the authorities have issued a warning to the person, we genuinely hope that they take down the shed so that others in the area can use the road safely.
