On Monday (July 18), KTMB took to their Facebook account and shared a video of a few men casually sitting inside the ladies’ coach. And they have a message for the fell0w male passengers who couldn’t take the hint.

‘Respect the rights of the women. Ladies’ coach are strictly for female passengers only.’

The post managed to get the attention of many Malaysians and most of them took the opportunity to thank KTMB (for once) for their effort in reminding the public about the matter. In the meantime, some have also suggested issuing a fine to the men sitting in the ladies’ coach in order to tackle the issue.

‘Issue a compound on the spot. Assign an officer there for compounding purposes.’

A Malaysian suggested that KTMB paint the ladies’ coach pink instead in order to ‘send the message.’

‘Paint the 2 ladies’ coaches in pink and put some stickers to make it obvious that the coaches are meant for the ladies. What you have now does not really work.’

Other users, especially KTMB users also commented and shared how they can relate to what they see in the video.

‘Assign auxiliary police in the ladies’ coach. I’ve seen some men in the ladies’ coach when I take the train.’

‘Usually, around 3 to 4pm, I see some male passengers in the ladies’ coach from Tanjung Malim to Pelabuhan Klang. They tend to ignore when they’re reminded. I’m not sure if they couldn’t grasp what I was trying to say.’

‘The male passengers are there every single day! They don’t even feel anything. They have to be punished or compounded to learn their lessons.’

If you’re a frequent ladies’ coach passenger, do make sure to report to the relevant parties about the incident. Fellow male passengers, do keep in mind to stay away from the ladies’ coach.
