The python was sold for almost 60 times its usual price!

A snake breeder in Georgia, United States accidentally created a one-of-a-kind python whereby the reptile was born with three yellowish smiley faces on its skin. As reported by the New York Post, Justin Kobylka has spent years trying to perfect a different pattern on lavender albino ball pythons but his latest breeding experiment ended up with this unique pattern instead.

Kobylka, the owner of J. Kobylka Reptiles, a snake shop in Northeast Georgia said that one-of-a-kind patterns on snakes occur due to recessive gene mutations and it is almost impossible to find snakes in the wild with these remarkable patterns. While his latest snake breeding may not have yielded the exact pattern that he wanted, this happy little accident was actually super profitable to him and his company as it was sold for RM24,700, which is sixty times the market price for a regular lavender albino ball phython!

Furthermore, the same exact pattern would very much likely pop up again in one out of twenty snakes that he bred with the rare colour combination.

Besides this smiley face reptile, Kobylka have also bred other rare snakes such as polka-dot-style markings and rare bright colours.
