This “Living” Museum In Terengganu Let’s You Experience The Life of Malays From Historical Times

Located inside the Terengganu State Museum, this Kampung Budaya Terengganu is a living museum that lets you experience the traditional life of Malays in the historical times!

The Chief Minister of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said that this cultural village has a variety of attractions that brings various arts, heritage and cultures of Terengganu’s eight different districts altogether, according to Sinar Harian.

Not only are the historic backdrop of real-life Malays in the past available, but visitors can also take a close look at the demonstration of traditional activities by the locals.

A lot of traditional games and tools are also there for visitors to have fun. Despite the exhibition of all the ancient items and houses, you can even make Laksa Terengganu and play Sepak Bulu Ayam! A visit to this museum is no doubt a great family date for family bonding.

“Terengganu is rich in various cultural heritage and cultural treasures and they are all well preserved,” Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar added. With the state government’s effort, this cultural village is expected to be a “one-stop centre”, enabling visitors to delve into the history of the community’s heritage in the past.

Many of us in the younger generation have perhaps not seen all the traditional equipment and tools, thus this will be an amazing opportunity to give this Kampung Budaya Terengganu a visit, according to Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

Starting 6 September, Malaysian visitors will be charged only RM15(adults) and RM10(kids) for the entry fees. For non-Malaysians on the other hand, the fee will be RM30(adults) and RM20(kids) respectively. The elderly and disabled are charged RM10 only for entry fees.

The government set SOPs will also be prioritised and followed.
