A 62-year-old Vietnamese woman who married a 26-year-old man recently went for plastic surgery and spent more than 100 million dongs (RM17,700) for multiple cosmetic surgeries on her nose and brow area.
However, she said she did not do it because she didn’t feel good enough for her husband but that she wanted to “look beautiful”.
The couple had tied the knot in 2018 when they went viral due to the age gap between them. Photos of their wedding show the couple and the woman’s two daughters from a previous marriage.
VnExpress reported in 2018 that the woman, Hoa Cương Thu Sao, met her husband at a small coffee shop that she owns. The man had been a regular customer and the pair apparently got along well. Initially, she said she only thought of him as a “brother” and rejected his proposal as she thought he was just fooling around.
However, she soon realised that he was serious when he was persistent in his pursuit of her.
Despite people in the community mocking them for their age gap, she said she is “just like any other woman, a normal human getting married”.
Now, in 2020, their marriage seems to be going strong after the woman recently took to Facebook and dedicated a post to her husband, reported China Press.
Her post said:
“These three years, people have questioned our relationship and even attacked us, but we have stayed together and proven that our love is real. In a blink of an eye, three years have passed, and our time together has been so blissful. The future will be just as blissful.”
Hoa Cương Thu Sao had also undergone several cosmetic surgeries such as rhinoplasty and eyebrow correction after several tattoo removals. She said that after recovering, she would also go for a face lift to “make herself look younger”.
She said her husband was always willing to invest money in beauty as he had also undergone several procedures on his eyebrows, lips and nose.
Age is just a number and if two people really love each other, they can surely make the relationship work!
