On December 30th, Remaja reported that a 20-year-old girl fell off a flyover in Bangsar from the height of 20 metres onto the front of a car that stopped at a traffic light at around 3.30pm. The victim was subsequently admitted to the ICU in University of Malaya Medical Centre.
Intan was on her way to clock in for her 4.00 PM shift at San Francisco café in NU Sentral. The victim was reportedly witnessed falling by a colleague who noticed her working uniform. The colleague would later follow her to the hospital, and also notified her manager and family members.
Intan, who lives in PPR Kerinchi, made it to the hospital and managed to let her sister know what happened before she fell off the flyover. Norfairiyuslina, 33, a sister to the victim, was interviewed by Remaja regarding the incident. Norfairiyuslina reported that the victim was riding her motorcycle before a car came out of nowhere speeding up next to her. She then stepped on the emergency brake to avoid a collision, but the next thing she knew was she had fallen off the flyover.
This incident caused the victim to break her backbone, shin bone, arms and her fingers, and she also sustained several other fractures all over her body. Sadly, while she was in the hospital, her heart rate reading was reported to be too weak and was put in a coma to ensure her safety.
The victim needs more than 1 surgery, and each surgery will cost roughly RM5,000. The victim’s sister Norfairiyuslina said that since her father died, the family have been in a financial crisis, therefore, any donations or help will be much appreciated to help ease their family’s burden.
To readers who want to help the victim’s surgeries, you may donate through the victim’s sister’s bank account at Nurfairiyuslina Binti Mohd Fauzi, 164128644778 (Maybank).
