Uh oh, if you’re travelling through KLIA or klia2 today (22nd August), please do arrive early and check your flight status before you leave the house. That’s because the airports are having some network disruptions which have been affecting the flights since yesterday (21st August), Malaysia Airports said.

Based on their Facebook page, they have been updating periodically to keep passengers informed and the problem started yesterday. Their post said at around 9pm yesterday, “KLIA is currently experiencing intermittent network connection affecting some of our flight information display system. We are working to rectify this as soon as possible. The WiFi at the airport is also non-accessible at the moment.”

Some of the systems affected include the flight information display systems, check-in counters and baggage handling systems. They have informed that they will deploy their staff around the area and urge passengers to reach out to the Airport CARE Ambassadors if they need any help.

In addition, Malaysia Airports has informed passengers that it is advisable for them to reach the airport at least four hours before flight departure so that they will not have any issues. They also encourage people to check-in via the respective airlines’ mobile app or website.

However, do note that the MYairports mobile application is currently unserviceable due to the temporary service disruption, and they also said that all systems except for the Flight Information Display Systems at klia2 are fully functioning.

There are also 20 flights that are delayed at the moment at the KLIA Main Terminal, as of 10.30am:
