Respected for his practice of integrity, Jack Ma is the chairman and founder for Chinese giant, Alibaba.
Known as the Asian version of Black Friday, China’s Single’s day (11:11) that takes place every Nov 11, is an for all-out-shopping day introduced by prodigious Alibaba, reported NextShark. It was dubbed the world’s biggest online shopping event.
But 11:11 has not earned the world’s title for nothing. Months and months of preparations are put in place for that single day. In fact, 8 trial runs for the sales day were carried out to ensure the smooth and seamless transactions for the much awaited day.
Of course, with high expectation of the day comes equally hardcore staffs, and the soldiers of Alibaba proved it.
Tents are set up in the office. They designated female and male sections.
They go through great lengths to hype the day and to ensure its success, including getting haircuts with the number ’11:11′ shaven on their sides, tents sent up and heaps of red bull at the ready.
Of course, the king Jack Ma will be expected to make an appearance. Nothing spells the power of followership than his army of employees who works tirelessly to make him proud.

Men dedicated their hair to 11:11 and the campaign logo.
It was reported that the revenue from that day US $14.3 billion (approx. RM60.2 bil) itself was more than Facebook entire last year’s earnings. Yes, jaws are dropping all around.
For a man to start such an empire from scratch to what it is today, Jack Ma is truly a man to be admired. As he has agreed to advise our country on digital economy, we all pray that it will become of something.
