The woman accused of having two husbands, with the second marriage reportedly registered in Songkhla, Thailand, has broken her silence.

Previously, a viral social media post claimed that her Thai wedding documents were found by her first husband in her car. However, days later, the first husband claimed that he had divorced the woman in 2022.

“Whatever I say, everyone will blame me”

The woman, who is 30 years old, has addressed the allegations, saying that she has provided a statement to the Religious Office in Tanah Merah, Kelantan.

Furthermore, to avoid disrupting the investigation, she chose not to elaborate, saying she would be blamed no matter what she said.

However, she did confirm that she and her first husband had divorced, but this presented a significant problem.

“We did not register the divorce at the Religious Office. That’s our fault.”

She added that she married her second husband, who hailed from Johor, in Songkhla, Thailand, in November 2024, as was seen in the viral wedding documents.

“I admit that I did not bring the divorce papers while registering for my second wedding in Thailand. The process in Thailand is slightly easier,” she said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

In the viral Facebook post, the woman was accused of spending the first part of the day with her second husband, before returning home to her first husband, whose house is 19km away, daily. Her alleged “secret double life” was revealed after she was caught with her second husband in the latter’s house.

The Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JAHEAIK) is currently investigating the matter after the woman provided her statement at the Tanah Merah Religious Office on 14 December.
