Taking to TikTok, this netizen shared the story of how his friend, a PhD candidate at a local university shed tears when she tried her first pizza.

In his TikTok sharing, he posted his friend’s reaction, stating that it was so delicious.

Sharing that she had never tasted anything so delicious, netizens commenting on the video did not believe that her reaction was genuine.

In a corresponding TikTok, the netizen further clarified the matter.

“My friend is not from a well-to-do family and she does not eat out much. Her daily meals usually comprise of local delicacies and her family is quite frugal with their spending even if they do eat out.”

“She had somewhat of a rough childhood where she could not experience what other kids her age at the time, experienced. She studied a lot and when she came here, she was able to experience what she could not back home.”

He added: “She will be returning home soon to help her family back in China. So, while she is here, she took the opportunity to experience as much of our culture as she can.”

We hope she cries when she tries Nasi Lemak too! Just kidding, just kidding.
