Some people dream of living in cold weather climates like Cameron Highlands or Genting Highlands, away from the hustle and bustle of tropical Malaysian cities.

But the reality of living in such places may not dawn on us living in common areas around the country…like the ones shared by this netizen on TikTok.

Have a look.

The video begins with the caption: “You are lucky that you get to ‘heal’ as you work while in Genting.”

“This is where reality hits.”

“Unlike most places, Food is expensive. Nasi Ayam Penyet can set you back as much as RM15. Teh O Ais can go up to RM4.50!”

That’s expensive.

“If you have sensitive skin, forget about living in Genting. Clothes don’t dry up here, it would take days.”

He also mentioned about car maintenance, how the cold can affect clothes and how electricity bills are expensive due to excessive heater usage.

Whoah!

What are your thoughts on this? Would you want to live in Genting Highlands if you were given the chance? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
