ADUN Dusun Tua, Edry Faizal has his own unique way of settling rubbish issues in his constituency.

In a video that went viral on social media, this ADUN can be seen either reporting culprits to MPKJ for further action, or meeting culprits face-to-face especially during the month of Syawal.

Here is a video of his in action.

Speaking fluent Mandarin, Edry Faizal ‘confronted’ this business owner for littering and illegally throwing their rubbish away.

“Yesterday somebody threw rubbish on the roadside. We recorded her (your sister) in the act.”

“You can’t throw your rubbish there. There used to be a sign that says so.”

“If people do it nearby your business, you can tell me about it. Also, inform me if rubbish trucks do not arrive to pick up rubbish. It is ok to keep rubbish in front of your business, just don’t throw it away elsewhere.”

Netizens commenting on the Tweet, commended the ADUN’s initiative to place CCTVs and start monitoring waste management in the area.

Others slammed local PBTs for not doing their jobs.

“This is not the job of an ADUN. Where are enforcement officers when you need them?”

Let’s hope that the authorities will take notice and do something about this soon.
