We’ve seen a fair amount of road accidents that are caused by negligent motorists who are either distracted by their phones, not paying enough attention, or falling asleep on the wheel.

In a recent video that went viral on social media, a motorist’s dashcam placed at the back of the car captured a horrific accident involving a car and two motorcycles. The accident happened on the EDL Highway, Johor Bahru at 9am on 3rd September.

In the video, a black car can be seen driving on the road like normal, but a few seconds later, it suddenly starts swerving to the left lane and into the path of two motorcycles.

As if it did not see the two motorcyclists there, the car rams into them without slowing down at all. One of the motorcyclists crashes to the ground as the vehicle hits the divider on the left side of the road and spins out of control.

The car flips on its side and lands on top of the motorcyclist as both the vehicles aggressively slide along the road from the momentum of the impact. The vehicles then crash into a divider on the opposite side as oncoming traffic approaches the scene.

The rider that was knocked down suffered quite a brutal hit as he or she can be seen falling to the ground. It also looks like the rider might have been crushed by the vehicle as he or she could not be seen after the impact. The other rider, however, seems to have escaped the tragedy.

It is not known what happened after, but it seems like the crash caused quite a commotion for approaching vehicles.

Netizens are guessing that the driver must’ve fallen asleep due to how the car swerved to the left and crashed into the motorcyclists without stopping.

Here’s the video:

This really looks like a tragic accident that could’ve caused serious injuries. Hopefully an ambulance and the police arrived shortly after.
