Getting your kids ready for the 1st day of school can be a mix of excitement and nerves for parents. Sometimes, the excitement can make us miss out on some important details.
In a recent hilarious viral video making the rounds online, Malaysian comedian @shahrol.shiro took to his TikTok to share an incident that occurred after dropping his son off at school.
In the video, he revealed that due to his hectic work schedule, he had his wife handle the registration of their son for Standard 1. They discussed 2 different schools as options, which ended up causing confusion.
It was then revealed that a few hours after dropping his son off at school, he received a call from one of the teachers. Upon receiving the call, he immediately felt nervous, fearing that something bad might have happened to his son.
“You dropped your son off at the wrong school!”
@shahrol.shiro revealed how he asked the teacher what was wrong and what his son had done, to which the teacher responded,
“Your son didn’t do anything wrong. You did! You sent your son to the wrong school.”
Upon hearing the teacher’s words, the father promptly returned to the school to meet with both the teacher and his son.
He then continued to reveal how while the son was in class, his son realised how his classmates all looked different. His son quickly approached his teacher to inform the teacher that he might be in the wrong school.
“My son was already in the classroom, but he got confused when he noticed that his classmates didn’t look familiar. He immediately approached the teacher and said, “Teacher, I think I’m in the wrong school.” The teacher checked his name tag and replied, “Oh, you’re right, you don’t go to this school.”

Dalam perbincangan nak masukkan Iqi ke sekolah mana, ada dua nama sekolah yang disebut. Cerita hari ini, sy hantar anak ke sekolah. Lepas beberapa jam hantar Iqi, sy dapat satu panggilan telefon katanya dari pihak sekolah. Risau jugak la kalau ada apa2 berlaku, rupanya sy tersalah hantar anak ke Sekolah ??? Iqi dah siap masuk kelas belajar tapi dia pelik bila tengok padang tak sama macam sekolah dia pergi sebelum puasa tu. Terus dia jumpa cikgu bagitau “Cikgu, rasanya saya salah sekolah ni”. Cikgu tengok nametag dia “Eh, betullah, kamu bukan sekolah sini”. Terus dia hantar ke pejabat. Kepada ayah di luar sana, jangan lakukan kesilapan sebegini. Maafkan ayah yer Iqi ??? dan terima kasih cikgu2 yang membantu ???
Maybe now is as good a time as any to let the dads handle the enrollment for their kids from now on.
