After two announcements made by the Malaysian Prime Minister, you would think that people will finally understand the importance of staying at home in order to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, more and more videos have surfaced, proving that some Malaysians are just plain stubborn and inconsiderate.

A video shared by BERNAMA’s official Twitter account shows a busy road with rows of shops opened, with plenty of cars, motorbikes and even pedestrian walking, doing their business normally as if they are immune to the virus.

Because of this stubbornness, the defence minister, Ismail Sabri Yaakob had to make the decision to deploy the army from Sunday (22 March) onwards to assist the police in controlling the public who refuse to listen to a simple instruction.

“Just stay at home.”

As reported by FMT, the army’s involvement will surely make the implementation of MCO better and hopefully, our citizens will finally follow the simple instruction that was given to them.

To everyone out there, please be responsible and just stay at home. We need to curb the spread of this virus together and the only way is to limit our movement and interaction. Please, just stay at home!
