Alongside the pandemic, many Malaysians are also facing horrible flooding situations.

Just a few days ago, a photo of a woman sitting in silence in front of what appears to be the remains of her house due to recent floods took the internet by storm. Rafiah Jamaluddin, aged 69, is a resident of Kampung Ajai, Pahang and was shocked to find her house in complete ruins.

Seeing this photo online, netizens took the chance to tag Ustaz Ebit Lew on all social media platforms as a way to get him to help. And he did!

As seen on his Instagram and Facebook page, Ebit Lew posted late last night that he travelled all the way to Pahang to help Rafiah in her time of need.

“It’s sad to see Aunt Rafiah’s house in Kampung Ajai Ulu Dong, Pahang,” he writes in his captions. “Her house was flooded and is now stuck in large trees.”

He explained that he plans to help her rebuild a new home in the surrounding area once the flooding season is over and that she and her children are currently looking for leftover wood that can still be used. He also said that he has donated some money and will be buying new materials for this project as well.

“Aunt Rafiah said, if there was no disaster, then I wouldn’t have met the Ustaz. It’s a blessing to meet Ustaz. After our talk, we both believe that this is a test of God’s love for all of us. Auntie’s test is heavy.”

Once again, thank you, Ebit Lew, for helping Malaysians out when they’re in need!
