You can read more about the story here.
Following the latest update of the case, authorities shockingly discovered that not only did the 49-year-old bus driver not possess a driving license, he was tested positive for meth!
According to NST, District police chief Superintendent A.A Anbalagan said:
“He has been remanded for two days from today”, as Magistrate Ahmad Tajudin Zain ordered this to be issued when he assisted police to classify the crime under Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
The poor teenage delivery boy was the eldest of seven siblings and started his part-time job as a delivery rider because his family was underprivileged, and he wanted to help contribute to household finances.
During the time of the accident, the hardworking youth was on his way to make one such delivery for a customer before he was crushed by reckless, drugged bus driver.
Hopefully the authorities will charge this man of his crimes accordingly. Hafiz’s family deserves justice for the departure of their beloved son.
